Michelle Morawiak
Michelle Morawiak, MSW, LICSW, LADC-1
I am somewhere between elder millennial and xennial depending on who you ask, and I have lived enough lives to fill a few therapy sessions of my own. That is not a disclaimer — it is actually the point.
I work with adults who are done just surviving. People navigating trauma, recovery, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, and the particular exhaustion of trying to hold your life together while also trying to heal it. I know what that weight feels like and I know what it takes to put it down.
My style is direct. I am not going to sit quietly while you circle the same pattern for the third session in a row. I will name it, we will work it, and you will leave with something you can actually use. We bring in CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and nervous system work because insight alone does not move the needle — your body has to be part of the conversation too.
Clients call me direct but deeply supportive. I call it caring enough to be honest.
If you are ready to stop managing and start actually moving — this is the place.
“I began therapy to manage long-standing anxiety that had finally become overwhelming. I found Michelle through Psychology Today and connected with her right away. Over the past year, she has helped me understand my worth, stop internalizing others’ behavior, and build confidence in myself. My anxiety feels far more manageable, and I know I have someone who genuinely cares about my well-being while also holding me accountable. Therapy has truly changed my life, and I recommend it to anyone, even if your reasons feel small. You’ll learn more about yourself than you ever expected.”
